I really love the effects of the salt and latex on this painting. The salt creates the speckles in the bark. mask out the shapes with liquid latex over the blue paint. After everything is masked out scrub off the color with a brush or sponge. After that peel the latex and it leaves this sort of "burn out" effect love.
