Wrapped in copper
This is based on a line of spruce trees on the pa/NY border. This spring on my birthday I just wanted to go out and get photos for paintings and get lunch. My friend grabbed me and off we went (I think she also gave me covid which was a shit gift)
Anyway this painting is a bit of a departure. I had intended to do an iridescent sky, but when I pulled off the excess color, it was so beautiful that I decided to leave it.
