Originally done as a study for a large painting, I fell in love with how this turned out!
I essentially don't know how my paintings are going to look until they're nearly finished. Sometimes they suck. Sometimes they ROCK! This guy rocked- this sky has so many subtle shades in it. I love the form of the tree, and the variations in tone of the reds. Anyway, I thought such a dynamic piece was the perfect way to kick off 25 Days of Minis '22!
The painting is coated with a UV protective sealant and is wrapped in copper. For that extra sexy presentation :)
