By the way all my skies (and in this case the river) have an iridescent shimmer to them that doesn.t come out in the photos. 
View from the bridge on Nine Mile Road in Allegany NY. Over the Allegheny River. Or is the river Allegany in NY too? it's confusing. Anyway, the Allegheny (sp?) begins about 15 miles from where I live down in Pennsylvania. By the time it gets to me its about 20-30 feet across and pretty shallow most of the year. My friends in Pittsburgh laugh when I show them pictures of the baby version of their giant river.
