I killed the first version of this painting after the varnish crazed and I tried to remove it. 
So I repainted it! This version is now available! 
12x6" Wrapped in copper,
This painting is based on a spot that is literally over the hill from me. There's a slightly sketchy (see no winter maintenance) road leading from the top of the mountain into the valley near Eldred PA. These hemlocks were growing downslope from the road, so the tops were at car level.  I went a little more abstract with this piece, with the dead trunks of some of the trees popping in yellow (they were coming out of shadow). Anyway, I really love this painting. Hope you do too!
The sky in this piece has layers of iridescence that don't pick up well on camera.
