The Grisaille Studies are watercolor and gouache paintings in warm grays, documenting my local wanderings. They're on 4x4 inch 300 LB cotton rag watercolor paper squares in 8x8inch black shadowbox frames with a spacer to give them a floating feel. To me, with their uneven edges they're almost like tiny artifacts. Or illustrations torn from an old book. I'm incredibly excited about this series.
