This stand of old aspen grow between the Allegheny river trail and the river itself. Someday in the not too distant future they will tumble into the river, but until then they mark one of my favorite bends on the trail.
 
Watercolor and gouache. 3.5 x 3.5 inches on a 4 inch square of 300 lb cotton rag paper.
Presented in a black shadowbox frame with a half inch spacer to give a floating effect.
