Off to Philadelphia, with your help...

Hey! I'm writing this blog in hopes that I can get a hand with something.

This has been a pretty crazy year(s)

The good points. I'm healthy. I'm down 140 lbs and finally have the stamina to hit the art festival circuit. I also have the time now....

You might have noticed that over the last few years my art has taken a bit of a back seat. I stepped in to help save our local arts council about five years ago. We had some leadership changes for the worst, along with funding cuts and then covid. I ended up putting my art aside to help out. What was supposed to be a few months turned into five years. I helped rebuild things and turned our little gallery into one of the best in the region.

Unfortunately I was let go this past winter. (Don't criticize your board, even if REALLY disagree with how things are going). That actually wasn't a bad thing, and I was ready to go. Well mostly not bad. They waited until AFTER the fourth quarter, and a tumultuous election to fire me. Which meant I had missed out on end of the year art sales and jobs were hard to find. I scraped by until this year's June Rittenhouse with the hopes that I could use the profits to restart my art business and refocus my life. Then it rained and was cold and I sold nothing. The show died for me, along with my hopes for the summer. Now it's time for the September Rittenhouse and I need a hand.

This brings me to my point. I need to last minute rent a van for this weekend's show. I'm rolling the dice again, with hopes of making enough to jump start my art.

Here's where I ask for your help. The van rental, gas, lodging etc comes to about $1700! If you "donate" to my trip fund I am giving you a coupon for the total of your donation plus 25%, so for example$100 now turns into $125. This includes future custom pieces.

I'm not someone that asks for help, but this is a weird ass year and I could use it.

(Yes I realize this is last minute. I had a big commission that should have paid for everything, but I'm still working on it 😅)
